Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

What we collect

  • Account: a username and email so you can sign in.
  • Your contributions: reviews, relocation stories, submissions, saved plans, and any pins you drop.
  • Basic technical logs needed to keep the site running and stop abuse.

We don't ask for your real name, gender, orientation, or location. Don't put anything in a review or story that you wouldn't want the public to see.

How we use it

  • To show your contributions to other users.
  • To let you sign in and save plans.
  • To moderate content and keep the community safe.

Who can see what

Reviews, relocation stories, and pins are posted anonymously. We never display your username, email, or account identifier next to your contributions. Other users only see the content itself.

Internally, contributions are linked to your account so you can update them and so moderators can act on abuse, but that link is not public.

Your controls

  • You can update a review by submitting it again for the same state or city. The newer version replaces the older one.
  • To delete a specific review, story, or pin, contact us and we'll remove it.
  • You can request full deletion of your account and personal data at any time via contact.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Kids

SafeHavens isn't designed for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

If we make meaningful changes to this policy, we'll note it here and on the site.
